The Kerrytown BookFest Board is pleased to present the 5th Annual Kerrytown BookFest. The BookFest is an event celebrating those who create books and those who read them. The primary goal is to highlight our area's rich heritage in the book and printing arts while showcasing local individuals, businesses, and organizations. The day will be filled with entertainment, education, and hands-on experiences.

The BookFest will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market in Ann Arbor from 11:00 to 5:00. Last year over 3000 visitors enjoyed the BookFest, and this fall we expect an even better turnout. Once again we will create a colorful mix of activities and showcase them in our historic district. Visitors will observe bookbinders binding, creating and repairing books, papermakers making wonderful kinds of paper, and book artists creating entirely new pieces of art from a book. Authors from our area will attend, and visitors will hear about their books, ask questions and meet them after panels. There will even be an opportunity for visitors to print their own commemorative bookmark from antique letterpress printing machines. This year we will be celebrating the libraries of our region with awards, demonstrations and panels.

With your help, the Kerrytown BookFest will continue to support this community, its businesses, and artists by bringing a wonderful event to the area. Your sponsorship would enhance your profile and send the message that your organization encourages quality community events.
