Directions to the BookFest

The historic Kerrytown District is an exciting and beautiful area of Ann Arbor. Shopping, dining and events abound. Below, please find directions to the BookFest in the Farmer's Market, as well as some links to nearby features and other events.

From East
If coming from the west (Kalamazoo, Chicago, etc.) or east (Detroit, Canada, etc.), follow I-94 to the Ann Arbor-Saline road exit. Turn north (right if coming from the east, left if coming from the west). That road turns into Main Street. Follow it approx. 3 miles north. The last few streets before the BookFest are Liberty, Washington, Huron, Ann, Catherine then Kingsley. Turn right (east) onto Kingsley, and then right again at the very next block, which is 4th Avenue. Parking is on the street, or in a number of lots around the market.

From West
Exit I-94 at exit 171 , M-14 east (left exit). Take the first exit off M-14, Miller Road. Turn right onto Miller and follow it a little more than two miles into downtown Ann Arbor. As you cross Main Street Miller will become Catherine Street at Main street. The next cross street is 4th Avenue. The Market is to the left on 4th. Parking is on the street, or in a number of lots around the market.

From North
If coming from the north (Lansing, Flint, etc.) follow I-23 south to M-14 west. Take the Main Street exit (the second exit). The exit becomes Main Street. Follow it approx. 1 mile south. The 3rd light is Kingsley. You will Turn left (east) onto Kingsley, and then right again at the very next block, which is 4th Avenue. Parking is on the street, or in a number of lots around the market.

From South
If coming from the south (Toledo, Flint, etc.) follow I-23 north to the first Ann Arbor exit (37-B). The exit empties into west bound Washtenaw. Follow it approx. 4 miles. Washtenaw will curve north, then back west near the university. Its name changes to Huron Street. After the second curve, look for either Fourth or Main street after approx 3-4 blocks. The last streets before main are Division (one way north), Fifth (one way south), Fourth, then Main. At Fourth or Main turn right for 3 blocks. If on Main, turn left (east) onto Kingsley (the 3rd light), and then right again at the very next block, which is 4th Avenue. Parking is on the street, or in a number of lots around the market.
