The 14th Annual Kerrytown BookFest will take place on Sunday, September 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ann Arbor Farmer’s Market. This year’s theme is “Travels with Books” as we’ll celebrate all the ways to travel with books through our state, through time, and throughout the country and Canada as we welcome speakers from as far away as New York, Minnesota, Vancouver and Boston as well as from our beautiful home state of Michigan.
The Kerrytown Bookfest is an annual free event celebrating those who create books and those who read them. The primary goal is to highlight our area’s rich heritage in the book and printing arts while showcasing our local and regional individuals, businesses, and organizations.
The Bookfest, now in its 14th consecutive year, has been growing, sharing, and discovering more and more about the rich book culture in the region. The event features authors, storytellers, publishers bookbinders, book artists, book illustrators, poets, letterpress printers, wood engravers, calligraphers, papermakers, librarians, teachers, publishers, new, used, and antiquarian booksellers and many others associated with books and their diverse forms, structure, and content. The children’s area, with storytelling and creative activities, is always a popular attraction for younger book fans.
The Kerrytown BookFest is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Your donations are tax deductible to the extent permissible by current laws.
