Volunteer

The Kerrytown BookFest relies greatly on volunteers to make the BookFest a success, help exhibitors, guide visitors, support presenters, make announcements, staff festival book and information booths and more. The below is a form to submit if you wish to volunteer. Descriptions of the different positions can also be found below.

Volunteer Positions

Distributing Flyers and Posters
Time: The weeks before the BookFest
Description: Distribute the flyers and posters for the BookFest to local businesses and help get the word out about the fair
Duration: As long as you're willing to help

Set Up
Time: 7-11 a.m. day of the event
Description: Set up tables, chairs and signs
Duration: 1 or more hour shifts

Check-in
Time: 7-10:45 a.m. day of the event
Description: Assit Exhibitors to Check-in at the Information Booth
Duration: 1 or more hour shifts

Take down
Time: 5 - 7 p.m. day of the event
Description: Take down tables, chairs and signs
Duration: 2 hour shift

Staff Information Booth
Time: 11-5 p.m. day of event
Description: Give directions and field questions from participants and public, announce events
Duration: 1 or more hour shifts

Event helpers
Time: 10-5 p.m. day of event
Description: Help visitors take part in our events at the Children's tent, Main tent, Kerrytown Concert house, and more
Duration: 1 or more hour shifts
